Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Automation Test Architect to define and drive the overall test architecture, automation strategy, and quality engineering approach
. The role requires strong technical leadership, cross‑functional collaboration, and the ability to align testing initiatives with business and project goals
. The ideal candidate will guide distributed teams, influence architectural decisions, and act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Test Architecture & Strategy
  • Define test architecture, automation strategy, and quality engineering framework aligned with business objectives and project requirements.
  • Establish standards, best practices, and guidelines for automation, performance, and non-functional testing.
  • Evaluate tools, frameworks, and technologies to ensure scalable and maintainable test solutions.
  • Collaboration & Technical Leadership
  • Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Solution Architects, and Technical Leads to understand system design, integrations, and dependencies.
  • Ensure test strategies are aligned with application architecture, CI/CD pipelines, and Dev Ops practices.
  • Act as a technical mentor and thought leader for automation and QA teams.
  • Offshore Team Guidance
  • Review and guide offshore test design, automation frameworks, and implementation outputs
    .
  • Ensure quality, consistency, and adherence to defined standards across distributed teams.
  • Support skill development and continuous improvement within offshore QA teams.
  • Lead defect triage discussions with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Support root cause analysis and provide architectural recommendations to prevent defect recurrence.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying systemic quality issues.
  • Stakeholder Communication & Reporting
  • Communicate test status, quality metrics, risks, and coverage to customer and internal stakeholders.
  • Provide architectural recommendations and risk assessments related to quality and testing.
  • Support release readiness decisions through data-driven insights.
Required

Skills & Qualifications Technical Skills
  • Strong experience in test automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, REST Assured, etc.).
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git Hub Actions, Azure Dev Ops, Git Lab).
  • Solid understanding of API, UI, performance, and security testing
    .
  • Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and microservices architecture.
Leadership & Soft Skills
  • Proven experience in a Test Architect or Automation Architect role.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to influence without authority and work in complex, matrixed environments.
  • Experience working with global and offshore teams
    .
Nice to Have
  • Experience with Dev Ops, Dev Sec Ops , and shift-left testing strategies.
  • Knowledge of test data management and environment virtualization
    .
  • Certifications such as ISTQB Advanced/Expert, SAFe, or Cloud certifications
    .
