Senior Data Engineer

Our client is a large U.S. financial institution headquartered in Cincinnati that operates a broad retail footprint across multiple states. The organization delivers consumer and commercial banking services and continues to modernize its data and technology platforms to support secure, compliant, and scalable growth.

Rate: $64.00 to $74.00/hr. w2

• Design, develop, and support scalable data solutions, APIs, tools, and processes across traditional and modern data platforms.
• Collaborate with application teams, architecture, infrastructure, information security, and business stakeholders to translate strategies into data-driven solutions.
• Serve as a technical expert on system and application design, performance, integration, and security issues.
• Conduct research and development on data engineering, architecture, data security, and AI-readiness topics.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and self-service deployment tools to streamline development and operations.
• Evaluate data and software products and document recommendations to improve capabilities.
• Provide support and troubleshooting for data pipelines and platforms, including escalated on-call coverage for critical incidents.
• Plan and execute modernization initiatives for legacy systems, pipelines, monitoring, and documentation.
• Optimize and automate data pipelines for efficiency, scalability, observability, and performance.
• Leverage GenAI tools to enhance engineering productivity and prepare data for AI and machine learning use cases.
• Manage the full lifecycle of data assets to ensure quality, discoverability, and governance.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to team members and foster cross-functional learning.
• Deliver data solutions within Agile teams through close collaboration with product owners and stakeholders.

• Business intelligence and data engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience with dbt for data transformations and modeling.
• Proficiency with Snowflake for data warehousing.
• Advanced SQL development and optimization skills.
• Data visualization experience, preferably Power BI (preferred).
• Service Now development experience (preferred).
