The Applications Administrator is responsible for the configuration, maintenance, support, and optimization of enterprise business applications that enable operational efficiency and data integrity across the organization. This role reports to IT but will work closely with business stakeholders and vendors to ensure applications are secure, reliable, and aligned with business needs.
Responsibilities- Administer, configure, and support enterprise applications
- Manage user access, security roles, profiles, and permissions in accordance with governance and compliance standards
- Monitor application performance, availability, integrations, and data quality; troubleshoot and resolve issues
- Serve as primary liaison with application vendors, including support case management and release coordination
- Coordinate and execute system updates, patches, upgrades, and new feature rollouts
- Support integrations between internal systems and third-party platforms; assist with data mappings and validation
- Maintain application documentation including configurations, procedures, data flows, and user guides
- Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements, prioritize enhancements, and improve system utilization
- Support reporting, dashboards, and data extracts as needed
- Assist with testing (unit, UAT, regression) and change management activities
- Ensure systems align with security, audit, and compliance requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 2–5+ years of experience administering enterprise applications in a business or IT environment
- Hands-on experience with SaaS platforms and role-based security models
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Experience working with vendors and managing support tickets
- Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to analyze large amounts of data supporting informed decisions
- Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task, perform well, and execute within deadlines
- Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience with platforms such as Workday, Microsoft Dynamics CE, Bullhorn, Freshworks, or similar systems
- Exposure to SQL, data analysis, or reporting tools
- Experience supporting multi-system integrations and enterprise data flows
