Overview
Akkodis is seeking a Sr AWS Cloud DevOPs Engineer for a Contract with a client in Cincinnati, OH (Remote). This role is responsible for managing and optimizing cloud infrastructure while ensuring secure, scalable AWS environments.
Rate Range: $41/hour to $45/hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
- Design, deploy, and maintain secure, scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Terraform, Cloud Formation) and CI/CD (Jenkins/Git).
- Configure and manage core AWS services—EC2, VPC, IAM, Security Groups/NACLs, Load Balancers, S3, Cloud Watch—ensuring high availability and compliance.
- Implement security controls and integrations (e.g., Qualys, Crowd Strike, Prisma), manage SSL certificates, and enforce least‑privilege IAM policies.
- Set up and validate backups, storage mounts, and disaster recovery procedures; monitor logs/metrics with Cloud Watch, Splunk, and New Relic.
- Automate operational tasks for provisioning, patching, and deployment, and troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, and performance bottlenecks.
- Coordinate integrations with internal/external systems, maintain documentation, and drive cost optimization and capacity planning across environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8–10 years of experience in Cloud Dev Ops, with strong hands‑on expertise in AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Proven ability to manage AWS core services, implement IaC using Terraform/Cloud Formation, and support secure cloud operations.
- Experience configuring monitoring, logging, security tools, and integrating cloud systems with internal/external applications.

Pay Details: $41.00 to $45.00 per hour
