Azure Cloud Architect​/Engineer

(CURRENT LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY)

We are seeking a senior, hands-on Azure Cloud Architect / Engineer to support our client's growing enterprise platform team as they expand into a multi-region Azure architecture.

This is not a strategy-only role. The right candidate will be writing Terraform daily, executing regional infrastructure design, and leading planned failover readiness efforts. The engagement includes heavy hands-on implementation as well as collaboration with infrastructure, security, and application development teams.

• Design and implement multi-region Azure architecture with planned failover.
• Author and maintain Terraform infrastructure-as-code across Azure services.
• Define regional structure, resource organization, and repeatable deployment standards.
• Develop and execute scripted regional cutover and failover processes.
• Partner with infrastructure teams on hybrid connectivity and Azure networking patterns.
• Build and support Azure Dev Ops pipelines for infrastructure and application deployments.
• Support containerized workloads using AKS and Azure Container Registry.
• Collaborate directly with application teams to onboard workloads into Azure using standardized patterns.
• Participate in whiteboarding sessions and coach engineers on regional architecture and infrastructure design.

• Demonstrated hands-on experience designing and implementing multi-region Azure environments.
• Deep Terraform expertise including module design and remote state management.
• Production experience with AKS and Azure Container Registry.
• Ability to operate in a hands-on, execution-focused role.
• Strong communication skills and experience working cross-functionally.

• Experience working with hybrid environments and legacy system integration.
• Exposure to distributed platforms such as Kafka, Mongo
  
  DB, or Elastic in Azure environments.
• Experience supporting .NET and API-driven workloads in Azure.
