Job Title: Senior Data Engineer III
Location: Cincinnati, OH (Onsite)
Pay Range: $64-$70
Length: 10 Months
The Lead Data Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing scalable data pipelines and governance frameworks across the enterprise data ecosystem. This role leads initiatives related to data quality, privacy compliance, and metadata management to ensure that data assets are secure, reliable, and prepared for analytical use. The position requires close collaboration with cross‑functional teams and provides technical leadership within the data engineering and governance domains.
Key Responsibilities- Architect and implement end‑to‑end ETL workflows using tools such as Snowflake, DBT, Informatica, and Data Stage.
- Lead modernization of legacy data pipelines and cloud migration initiatives, with a focus on performance and cost efficiency.
- Integrate privacy‑by‑design principles into data engineering processes to support compliance with GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and internal data policies.
- Implement and manage data governance platforms, including Collibra, One Trust, Ataccama, and IBM Information Governance Catalog.
- Develop and enforce data quality rules, lineage tracking, and metadata standards for structured and unstructured data sources.
- Collaborate with legal, security, data science, and engineering teams to align data strategy with regulatory and organizational requirements.
- Mentor junior engineers and deliver training on data governance best practices.
- 8+ years of experience in data engineering, data governance, or related fields.
- Demonstrated expertise with Snowflake, DBT, SQL, and Python.
- Experience with metadata management, data lineage, and regulatory reporting.
- Familiarity with cloud‑native data platforms.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
