.
This is a full‑time, direct‑hire opportunity requiring onsite presence five days per week in downtown Cincinnati. The company covers the cost of downtown parking! This is a hands‑on, working manager role leading a small infrastructure team while remaining deeply involved in daily technical operations, strategic initiatives, and major incident response.
Position OverviewThe Infrastructure Manager will lead the planning, execution, and support of all core IT infrastructure functions. This role ensures the stability, security, and performance of the organization’s network, servers, storage, and virtualization environments while aligning technology initiatives with business objectives.
This leader will serve as the primary escalation point and go‑to resource for major incidents — any hour, any day — directing response efforts across a team of three engineers. In addition, this individual will evaluate and implement technology solutions supporting new organizational initiatives.

Key Responsibilities- Lead daily IT infrastructure operations and ensure projects and initiatives are delivered on time.
- Act as the primary escalation point for critical incidents and lead resolution efforts.
- Manage, mentor, and evaluate a small team of engineers.
- Oversee network, server, storage, and virtualization environments.
- Design, implement, and maintain IT infrastructure architecture.
- Evaluate and implement new technologies aligned with business strategy.
- Lead business continuity and disaster recovery planning and testing.
- Develop and manage infrastructure budgets, including lifecycle planning.
- Establish and enforce security standards, system access controls, and IT policies.
- Partner cross‑functionally to understand business requirements and deliver effective solutions.
- Maintain high‑quality documentation standards across infrastructure systems.
- Participate in on‑call rotation and scheduled maintenance activities.
- Fully onsite — five days per week in downtown Cincinnati. Occasional exceptions for life situations may be accommodated; however, this is not a hybrid role.
- Early start time:
Typically 7:00–7:30 AM. - Participation in a 4‑week rotating on‑call schedule is required.
- Must be available as escalation lead for high‑severity incidents when needed.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 8–10+ years of IT infrastructure experience.
- Minimum of 3–5+ years of direct leadership experience managing technical teams.
- Strong background working within ITIL‑based environments.
- 3+ years supporting VMware vSphere.
- 5+ years supporting Microsoft Windows Server environments.
- 2+ years supporting VMware Horizon (VDI).
- 3+ years supporting SAN storage solutions.
- Experience with Microsoft Exchange; F5 Big‑IP experience preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
- Customer‑service oriented mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
