This role will be pivotal in operational strategy, technical leadership, and mentoring a skilled network engineering team to achieve peak network performance and security.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of robust network architectures ensuring 99.999% uptime across distributed environments.
• Supervise daily network operations, monitoring performance metrics, responding swiftly to incidents, and proactively addressing risks.
• Champion secure, scalable networking practices across core, edge, and customer environments.
• Manage the end-to-end provisioning of network services for customer deployments, ensuring service excellence and operational efficiency.
• Mentor and develop a high-performing team of Network Engineers with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
• Develop and implement guidelines, protocols, and regulatory frameworks to govern operations and ensure security compliance.
• Oversee the planning, testing, and controlled rollout of infrastructure changes to minimize downtime risks.
• Troubleshoot and resolve advanced network issues involving BGP, IS-IS, OSPF, and TCP/IP protocols.
• Build and maintain strong vendor partnerships, negotiating for optimal pricing, service agreements, and network solutions.
• Drive hardware and software lifecycle management strategies to maintain cutting-edge infrastructure.
• Provide input for budget planning and forecasting network operational needs.
• Partner with business development teams to architect network solutions tailored to client needs.
• Track and report on key network performance indicators, identifying opportunities for further optimization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years in network engineering or operations, including at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
• Strong background in service provider-grade networking and multi-site network management.
• Hands-on expertise with Cisco networking and deep knowledge of carrier-grade networking standards.
• Proficiency with major routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, and TCP/IP fundamentals.
• Cisco CCNP certification (or equivalent technical skillset) preferred.
• Exposure to ITIL-based frameworks or structured IT service management practices a plus.
• Strong ability to prioritize initiatives, manage multiple projects, and deliver high-quality results in fast-paced environments.
• Excellent documentation, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
