We serve the residents of Hamilton County in more ways than you may realize! As the Systems Administrator at Hamilton County, you would be responsible for the administration, support, and maintenance of our Microsoft 365 environment, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, One Drive, Intune, and Azure Active Directory. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing cloud-based environments and ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability of our M365 services.

Summary of

Job Duties:

* Directs activities pertaining to the operation and administration of information systems and related equipment.

* Advises management regarding information systems.

* Revises and updates programs/operating systems for new releases.

* Troubleshoots and debugs programs to resolve issues.

* Ensures that programs meet defined departmental and county-wide needs.

* Reviews and analyzes technological advancements and makes recommendations regarding their application and integration.

* Supports staff as a lead by scheduling, assigning, and reviewing systems work.

* Administer and support the full suite of Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, One Drive, Intune, etc.)

* Manage and maintain user accounts, groups, permissions, and licensing in Microsoft 365 and Azure AD

* Monitor system performance and health, ensuring high availability and compliance

* Handle M365-related service requests, incident response, and problem resolution

* Implement and enforce security best practices, including MFA, Conditional Access, and DLP policies

* Provide tier 2/3 technical support and serve as a subject matter expert on M365

* Automate routine tasks using Power Shell scripting

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy new solutions and updates

* Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations and procedures

* Stay current with emerging Microsoft 365 technologies, updates, and best practices

Minimum Qualifications:

* Associate's Degree in Engineering Technology, Computer Science or related field.

* three (3) years experience, with a basic knowledge of supervision.

* Or equivalent combination of education and experience which indicates a thorough knowledge of computer systems, programming, electronics, and a basic knowledge of supervision.

* Ability to respond to users at various job sites on short notice

Preferred Qualifications:

* Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration and configuration

* Proficiency with Azure Active Directory, Exchange Online, Teams, and SharePoint Online

* Experience with Microsoft Intune and endpoint management

* Solid understanding of identity and access management concepts

* Power Shell scripting skills for automation and reporting

* Familiarity with ITIL practices and ticketing systems

* Microsoft certifications (e.g., MS-102, AZ-104, or related)

* Knowledge of security and compliance tools within Microsoft 365

* Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery practices for M365

* Soft Skills Needed:

* Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

* Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

* Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

* Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving

Work Location and

Hours:

* 800 Broadway Cincinnati, Oh. 45202

* 40 Hour Work Week, generally between core hours of 7:30-5:30
