IT Consultant, Systems Analyst
Job Description
As key member of the Information Technology (IT) team, involved in all aspects of providing oversight, coordination and operational delivery of the healthcare information technology for The Christ Hospital (TCH), this role leads the selection, development, implementation and adoption of advanced clinical workflows for the ambulatory process units of The Christ Hospital. The role also oversees the overarching security strategy for all Epic access and user provisioning.
The individual must be able to work autonomously while concurrently building technical and best‑practice process linkages to ensure TCH maintains leadership in patient safety, quality, and cost effectiveness.
- System analysis, development, build, and implementation for Epic Ambulatory.
- Epic security strategic thinking and adoption of user provisioning best practices.
- Develop, support, and maintain documentation, policy, and procedures.
- System testing and acceptance.
- Project management.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, or a healthcare‑related degree and associated experience. An associate’s degree with commensurate job‑related experience is acceptable.
Years of experience: 5 – 7 years in application systems analysis within Epic Care Ambulatory and Security.
Licenses & Certifications- Epic application certification and experience preferred.
- 5 years application systems analyst experience in Epic Care Ambulatory and Security.
- Ability to deal with a number of tasks simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Communicate efficiently with technical team as well as managers and end users – both written and verbal.
- Skilled at problem solving.
- Demonstrated ability to develop creative solutions to complex problems.
- Possesses an understanding and high‑aptitude for computer system capabilities to address process requirements.
- Strong communication skills – written and verbal.
- Strong presentation skills with experience in presenting directly to management and clinicians.
