Business Configuration Analyst (Collections Applications)

The Business Configuration Analyst serves as the primary liaison between the business line, software vendors, and information technology. The role identifies and defines system and business line needs and requirements, coordinates development and support for new and existing applications and products, and ensures that enhancements and projects maintain productivity, efficiency, and risk compliance.
Responsibilities- Analyze business and user needs, document requirements, and resolve moderately complex system problems.
- Coordinate business requirements definition, system configuration, testing, defect identification, resolution, implementation, and ongoing support.
- Lead the research and resolution of system issues and guide less experienced analysts through project work.
- Manage multiple business line project lists and teams, overseeing project management, system configuration, testing, implementation, and change‑management guidelines.
- Document enhancement requests, determine development impact, and collaborate with programmers and users to ensure accurate process improvement and automation.
- Maintain manuals, standard business and status reports, technical training material, and other reference documentation.
- Provide input into detailed project plans, work assignments, procedures, target dates, and progress reporting.
- Influence leaders and peers across organizational lines to take action on strategic initiatives or process changes.
- Ensure open two‑way communication channels among team members for ideas, suggestions, and information sharing.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum four (4) years of experience in banking, financial services, or a related field.
- Minimum two (2) years of project management experience;
Six Sigma Green Belt or PMP preferred. - Proven leadership experience in operations, manufacturing, or quality.
- Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
- Ability to present to senior leadership on sensitive subject matters and facilitate large group discussions.
- Excellent multi‑tasking, flexibility, and ability to manage multiple projects under pressure.
- Proficiency in Windows‑based software programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio).
Base salary reflects the range of salary levels for all roles within the pay grade across the U.S. Individual salaries within this range will vary based on role, relevant skillset, relevant experience, education, and geographic location. The role is eligible for participation in an incentive compensation plan based on company, line of business, and/or individual performance.
