Technical Support, Systems Engineer
Job Summary
As a Clinical Systems Specialist you will support Care Communications solutions in a hospital setting, serving as the primary technical owner for deployment, support, and optimization of communication systems. This role is fully onsite in Lexington, KY with limited travel.
Responsibilities- Serve as primary technical owner of Care Communications solutions, maintaining deep knowledge of system architecture and functionality.
- Support deployments including system provisioning, configuration, and coordination.
- Provide technical support and issue resolution via on‑site and remote channels.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and system performance issues during and post‑implementation.
- Configure systems based on clinical workflows, translating user requirements into technical specifications.
- Monitor, track, and trend system issues to identify root causes and implement process improvements.
- Deliver end‑user training, onboarding sessions, and documentation for system usage and updates.
- Support system upgrades, including planning, testing, validation, and post‑release issue resolution.
- Bachelor’s degree or 3+ years of experience in healthcare IT, clinical systems, or a related technical field.
- Experience troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues in a healthcare environment.
- Hands‑on experience with network infrastructure, system installations, and database management.
- Experience supporting point‑of‑care or clinical communication systems.
- Knowledge of healthcare IT systems, clinical workflows, and patient care environments.
- Experience with on‑premise and cloud‑based communication platforms.
- Experience performing system configuration, upgrades, and validation testing.
- Clinical background (RN) or equivalent experience working with clinical technologies (preferred).
Estimated base salary: $80,000 – $110,000. Salary may vary based on location, skills, experience, and market data.
