We are seeking an experienced HCM Workday Test Lead to oversee and execute comprehensive testing strategies for Workday modules. This role requires a hands‑on professional with a strong background in Workday HCM testing, including functional, regression, and integration testing. The ideal candidate will provide leadership in test planning, defect management, and stakeholder engagement while ensuring alignment with change management and audit controls.

• Execute end‑to‑end functional, regression, and integration testing across Workday modules (Core HCM, Benefits, Absence Management, Time Tracking, Payroll interfaces, Security, Business Process changes). Validate configuration updates and downstream impacts.
• Perform smoke testing and targeted regression testing for BAU releases and break/fix items.
• Develop and maintain BAU test strategies, test plans, and execution schedules aligned to release timelines.
• Identify impacted business processes and define comprehensive test scenarios and regression coverage.
• Serve as the testing point of contact for BAU demand, while acquisition work streams are handled by the full‑time team.
• Log, track, and manage testing work and defects using Digital.ai.
• Triage issues, document reproduction steps, partner with Workday analysts/configurators on resolution, execute retesting, and ensure defects are prioritized and resolved before release signoff.
• Partner with HR functional owners and SMEs to support UAT, provide scripts, entry/exit criteria, and communicate status, risks, and readiness.
• Build and maintain reusable test scripts, cases, and regression packs; document results, readiness recommendations, and signoffs.
• Ensure testing practices align with change management, audit, and internal control expectations.

• 5+ years of QA / testing experience with hands‑on testing in Workday HCM.
• Experience testing across multiple Workday modules beyond Core HCM.
• Ability to operate as a hands‑on Test Lead, not just coordinator.
• Strong understanding of Workday business processes, configuration dependencies, and integration touchpoints.
• Experience creating and maintaining test plans, test cases, regression suites, and test evidence.
• Experience using Digital.ai (or similar tools) for intake, tracking, & managing testing work.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to articulate results and risks.

• Experience supporting Workday release cycles (semi‑annual updates).
• Familiarity with testing tools such as Jira, Azure Dev Ops, ALM, or Service Now.
• Experience in regulated or highly controlled environments; financial services experience is a plus.
• Prior experience supporting organizations undergoing acquisitions or large‑scale change.

• Thorough BAU testing coverage across all impacted modules.
• Well‑maintained regression test assets that reduce risk and improve speed.
• Clear, documented release readiness recommendations for each deployment.
• Effective defect management with timely resolution and minimal production incidents.
• Reliable BAU testing execution while acquisition initiatives proceed in parallel.

Pay Range: $55 – $65 per hour (W2). Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) contributions, PTO, sick leave, and other statutory benefits.
