Multilink Solutions is a growing networking solutions provider, systems integrator, and distributor serving customers throughout the United States. We provide network design, consulting, implementation, and support services while distributing products from leading networking manufacturers. Our customers include businesses, schools, government organizations, ISPs, and enterprise clients.
We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Presales Network Engineer to join our team. This position combines technical engineering, customer consultation, account management, and hands‑on deployment responsibilities.
Position SummaryThe Presales Network Engineer will work closely with customers to understand their networking requirements, design solutions, prepare proposals, and support successful project delivery. The ideal candidate will have a strong networking background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to translate customer needs into practical technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as a technical advisor for customers seeking networking solutions.
- Answer customer calls, emails, and inquiries regarding network products and services.
- Conduct discovery discussions to understand customer requirements and business objectives.
- Design wired and wireless network solutions for commercial, industrial, educational, and enterprise environments.
- Prepare network diagrams, bills of materials (BOMs), scopes of work, and technical proposals.
- Manage and maintain assigned customer accounts and develop long‑term customer relationships.
- Provide consultation services and technical recommendations based on customer needs and budgets.
- Collaborate with sales and operations teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Assist with product selection from multiple networking manufacturers and technology platforms.
- Participate in site surveys, network assessments, and solution planning activities.
- Support installation, configuration, testing, and troubleshooting of networking equipment when required.
- Maintain technical knowledge of networking technologies, products, and industry trends.
- Document customer interactions, project details, and technical recommendations.
- Bachelor's degree/ Master's Degree in Network Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including:
- TCP/IP
- Routing and Switching
- VLANs
- Wireless Networking
- Network Security
- Fiber Optic Infrastructure
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem‑solving and customer service abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced small business environment.
- Ability to manage multiple customer accounts and projects simultaneously.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel occasionally to customer sites.
- Experience with networking vendors such as Mikro Tik, Ubiquiti, Ruckus, Cisco, Aruba, TP‑Link, Grand stream, or similar platforms.
- Experience with network design, implementation, or technical support.
- Knowledge of wireless site surveys and network assessment methodologies.
- Experience preparing technical proposals and solution recommendations.
The following certifications are beneficial but not mandatory:
- CompTIA Network+
- CWNA
- Other relevant networking certifications
