Job Responsibilities

  • Gather, prepare and analyze user requirements to create complex reports and simple to moderate dashboards, utilizing enterprise data systems such as Epic Slicer Dicer, Caboodle & Clarity, SAP/Crystal, Business Objects, etc. Participate in technical code reviews and perform change management when reporting system modifications are needed. Follow build, configuration and release management processes and meet user and technical documentation standards set by CCHMC.

    Translate business user questions into data solutions and contribute to the CCHMC information glossary for governed definitions.
  • Provide end‑user training for new hires or when changes are made to existing applications/systems. Create educational materials for end‑user training, adoption & activation, including job aides, lesson plans, and quick‑start guides. Provide ad‑hoc analysis for hospital departments and divisions accurately and in a timely manner, assisting with data understanding and potential gaps.
  • Continually develop professional skills and maintain Epic certifications where appropriate. Expand oral and written communication skills, particularly related to translating customer requirements into BI solutions. Plan and execute testing plans.
  • Manage projects: complete assigned tasks on time, communicate status accurately, prioritize tasks, and identify issues with potential solutions. Serve as project manager for simple projects and perform other duties as assigned.
  • Analyze Business Intelligence requests to align with existing tools and processes. Organize and complete assigned tasks and documentation as directed by the supervisor. Use troubleshooting skills to support BI solutions, develop support plans for new solutions, and Escalate unresolved issues with urgency. Coordinate communication between internal and external parties and work with cross‑functional teams to identify build deficiencies based on customer reporting requests.
