Linux Server Automation Engineer

Our team is responsible for the automation (Ansible/Python) of rollout of Linux servers running on Openstack. The automation is focused on the build / preparation of thousands of servers before they are deployed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Experience with scripting:
  Ansible, bash, Python preferred
• Networking knowledge: VLAN, CIDR, IPv4 and IPv6
• Experience with enterprise server hardware
• Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
• Ability to submit detailed requests for vendor support
• Ability to work with multiple teams, sharing status and information about issues
• Linux administration/optimization (Ubuntu preferred)
• Some Database administration/optimization (PostgreSQL preferred)
• Develop and maintain infrastructure through utilization of CICD pipelines with automated build and automated testing.
• Provide operations, including optimization of utilization of resources, and end user support for the applications on the portfolio following incident management.
• Conduct requirements gathering, design, code development, testing, and QA and production support
• Facilitate deployments and migration plan execution.
• Automate processes and systems configuration / deployment
• Implement automation tools and frameworks (CICD)
• Automate systems tests for security, performance, and availability
• Provide detailed end-to-end engineering, simulation, and analysis to support the our network engineering teams in developing, deploying, and troubleshooting complex systems.
• Experience with Linux system administration (RHEL8/RHEL9) including DHCP, NTP, DNS configuration within RHEL deployed servers
• Comfortable asking questions and calling out when they are stuck
