Position Summary
The Hardware Asset Management (HAM) Analyst serves as the enterprise subject matter expert for hardware asset lifecycle governance, responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing hardware asset management processes across Encore Technologies and its managed services clients. This role provides strategic oversight of asset governance, lifecycle planning, inventory accuracy, compliance, reporting, and process improvement initiatives. The HAM Analyst exercises independent judgment in developing asset management standards, evaluating lifecycle risks, recommending technology refresh strategies, improving operational efficiencies, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies and customer contractual requirements.
ResponsibilitiesEnterprise Asset Governance
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve enterprise hardware asset management policies, standards, and lifecycle governance practices.
- Serve as the organization’s subject matter expert for Hardware Asset Management (HAM) processes and best practices.
- Evaluate existing asset management processes and recommend improvements that enhance operational efficiency, reporting accuracy, and compliance.
- Interpret contractual, licensing, warranty, and asset ownership requirements to ensure appropriate governance throughout the asset lifecycle.
Lifecycle Strategy & Planning
- Develop lifecycle management strategies for enterprise hardware assets, including acquisition, deployment, maintenance, refresh, redeployment, and retirement.
- Analyze asset age, utilization, warranty status, and supportability to recommend refresh and replacement strategies.
Asset Analytics & Business Intelligence
- Design and maintain enterprise dashboards and executive reporting related to hardware inventory, lifecycle health, utilization, warranty coverage, and operational performance.
- Analyze asset trends and identify opportunities to reduce costs, improve utilization, and optimize inventory management.
- Present findings and recommendations to leadership and client stakeholders.
Process Improvement & Automation
- Lead initiatives to improve hardware asset management processes through automation, workflow optimization, and Service Now enhancements.
- Partner with Service Now administrators and engineering teams to implement improvements supporting lifecycle management and reporting.
- Identify opportunities to improve data quality through enhanced discovery, reconciliation, and integration.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Lead enterprise hardware asset audit readiness activities.
- Evaluate compliance risks related to asset ownership, inventory accuracy, warranty management, disposal practices, and customer contractual obligations.
- Develop corrective action plans and monitor ongoing compliance with organizational policies and industry best practices.
Leadership & Knowledge Management
- Develop asset management standards, procedures, and operational documentation.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to team members involved in hardware asset management activities.
- Lead training initiatives promoting enterprise asset management best practices.

Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in IT asset management, including familiarity with asset tracking software and procurement processes.
- Strong knowledge of hardware, software, and IT asset lifecycle management best practices.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and inventory management skills.
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with internal teams and external vendors.
- Ability to troubleshoot basic hardware and software issues.
- Experience with IT compliance standards and regulations, including software licensing requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and IT asset management software (e.g., Service Now, Fresh service, or similar tools).
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on the computer.
- Occasional walking between facilities.
- Occasional liftin pushing, pulling up to 15 lbs.
- Hybrid position – in office and remote workdays.
