Lead Agilist I
Location:
Cincinnati, OH (Onsite). Length: 6+ months.
We are seeking a Lead Agilist to support one or more Agile Squads. This role involves guiding teams to understand and apply Agile and Scrum values and principles. The position requires a servant‑leadership approach to foster an environment of continuous improvement, collaboration, and trust where problems can be solved effectively.
Key Responsibilities- Facilitate Scrum events and activities such as Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, Retrospectives, and Backlog Refinement.
- Coach the Product Owner and Development Team in effective Product Backlog management.
- Guide Agile Squads in self‑organization, continuous improvement, cross‑functionality, risk identification, and conflict resolution.
- Assist teams in improving through feedback loops, metrics, and other information radiators.
- Promote the growth of every team member by using powerful questions to prompt creative problem‑solving.
- Foster a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised and discussed openly.
- Shield the team from external interference to ensure productivity.
- Collaborate with others to improve the effectiveness of all roles within the Agile Squad.
Experience:
5+ years of full‑time business experience and 3+ years of Scrum experience. Experience presenting, teaching, mentoring, and facilitating at multiple levels of an organization.
Skills:
A solid understanding of the Scrum Framework and principles of agility. Knowledge of how to build high‑performing teams and use empirical data. Strong oral and written communication, coaching, and mediation skills.
- A bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering or a directly related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Working knowledge of practices that support agility such as Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, and Test‑Driven Development.
- Familiarity with other Agile frameworks like Kanban or XP.
