Cyber Security Engineer II
Job Location: Hybrid 3 days per week in Atlanta, GA;
Cincinnati, OH; or Denver, CO. Not eligible for remote work.
Visa Sponsorship: This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship, now or in the future. Candidates must be a US Citizen or valid Green Card holder.
Responsibilities- Explain detected software vulnerabilities and recommend remediation options.
- Build security awareness – highlight active exploits and assess urgency levels.
- Align solutions with PCI, SOC, GDPR, CCPA, and cloud security best practices.
- Communicate security concerns and design options to business teams.
- Promote controls to secure software throughout the lifecycle, from developer sandbox through production.
- Use coding skills to create reference implementations for security patterns such as authentication and encryption.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, or related discipline, or equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
- 5+ years of cyber security experience.
- Experience in product security.
- Software security and software engineering experience.
- Experience with Java and/or .NET.
- Experience using DAST, SAST, and SCA tools and services.
- Experience with securing APIs, web applications, and WAF protection.
- Experience conducting threat‑modeling exercises using industry standard methodologies (e.g., STRIDE).
- Expertise in authentication and authorization protocols, cryptography, and application security.
- Experience analyzing threats of cloud and application components.
- Payment industry and PCI experience.
- Security+, Network+, CEH certifications.
- Experience supporting incident response activities, including pre‑ and post‑incident analysis.
Good faith estimated annual salary range upon hire: $79,400.00 – $. The actual starting salary will be determined by experience, skills, and education.
