Commercial Insurance Account Manager

Compensation: $80,000-$90,000/year

trak group is partnering with an established independent insurance agency in Cincinnati to identify a Commercial Insurance Account Manager. This agency offers a hybrid schedule, competitive compensation, and a key differentiator for professionals at larger firms: significantly more ownership over your book of business in a relaxed, collegial environment.

• Manage a book of commercial lines business, ensuring high client retention and satisfaction
• Serve as primary point of contact for clients, responding promptly to inquiries and coverage questions
• Review policies for accuracy and completeness; identify coverage gaps and recommend solutions
• Coordinate policy changes, endorsements, renewals, and cancellations
• Process certificates of insurance, binders, and evidence of coverage
• Maintain detailed documentation within EPIC agency management system

• Assist producers in marketing new and renewal business to carriers
• Prepare and review submissions, applications, loss summaries, and exposure data
• Analyze carrier quotes and prepare coverage comparisons for client presentation
• Track renewal timelines and proactively manage marketing strategy

• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with carrier representatives
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and coverage enhancements on behalf of clients
• Stay informed on carrier appetite, underwriting guidelines, and market trends

• Ensure timely processing of policies, endorsements, audits, and billing inquiries
• Support premium finance agreements and audit reconciliation
• Maintain compliance with agency procedures and regulatory requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial insurance (agency experience preferred)
• Active Property & Casualty license (required)
• Strong working knowledge of commercial lines coverages including General Liability, Property, Auto, Umbrella, Workers Compensation, Professional Liability, and Package policies
• Proficiency in EPIC (Applied Systems) strongly preferred
