the Role

We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Bankruptcy Attorney to support this law firms mission of delivering exceptional client service. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while contributing to a well-established and respected legal team. The Associate Attorney will manage a wide range of bankruptcy matters and use their legal expertise to efficiently guide the bankruptcy process on behalf of the firm’s clients.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare, review, and approve bankruptcy-related pleadings
  • Manage all aspects of bankruptcy matters, including:
  • Proofs of Claim
  • Motions for Relief
  • Objections and Responses
  • Payment Change Notices
  • Settlements
  • Adversary Proceedings
  • Participate in mediations, depositions, telephonic hearings, and in-person hearings
  • Provide regular updates and maintain strong communication with clients
  • Support additional projects and duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.)
  • Active license and good standing with the Kentucky State Bar
  • 2–5 years of bankruptcy experience
  • Ability to manage and prioritize a high-volume caseload
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including effective client communication via systems, email, and phone
  • Demonstrated commitment to delivering exceptional client service
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and timely issue resolution
  • Excellent time management, organization, and adherence to deadlines
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment
