Description

Our law Firm is currently seeking a qualified applicant to fill the position of a Litigation Paralegal. This role will be responsible for working closely with attorneys and other legal professionals to conduct theday-to-day operations of the law office, provide administrative support, and ensure compliance with client and legal regulations. The ideal candidate for this position has a strong work ethic, exceptional problem-solving skills, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic workplace.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys by providing clerical and research support services.
  • Conduct document preparation and review, research, investigations, and fact-checking.
  • Prepare for trials, including the drafting of legal documents such as routine pleadings, motions, affidavits, and interrogatories.
  • File motions and pleadings according to judicial procedures.
  • Meet with attorneys, clients, and other professionals to discuss assigned cases or projects.
  • Research and analyze statutes, regulations, legal articles, judicial decisions, and other legal sources, providing written analysis to attorneys.
  • Prepare, organize, store, and retrieve case files, including evidence, exhibits, depositions, pleadings, and other items.
  • Develop and maintain records regarding billable hours spent on specific cases.
  • Perform administrative services to support the legal team and ensure compliance with legal regulations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and communication with clients and team members.
  • Maintain confidentiality, exercise discretion, and good judgment, and manage sensitive information.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Position Requirements

Requirements

  • Prior legal experience preferred but not required.
  • Excellent writing, proofreading, customer service, and communication skills.
  • Ability to take direction and work independently.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented.
  • Comfortable operating and learning computer programs and web-based systems.
  • Knowledge of the Mortgage Default industry is a plus but not required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of legal language and principles, research methods, court pleadings and processes, and other related matters.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience:

  • Associate degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of working experience as a paralegal.
  • Title experience a plus
