The Material Account Manager for RSPs Agreements, will coordinate and expedite the flow of materials (from suppliers and also within departments) according to production schedules. Plan and schedule material/production needs. Impacts approaches, projects and programs in the functional area or affected business organization and ways of working. Impacts quality, efficiency and effectiveness of own team. Has significant input into priorities. Guided by professional practices and policies that are shaped by the role.
The role has moderate autonomy, requiring high levels of operational judgment.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
* Work scope:
* Assigned Commercial and Defense & Systems RSPs
* Main responsibilities:
* Management of the RSP Contractor Support Team at Evendale
* Manage RSP parts delivery process to GE
* Update delivery schedule (commit) of RSP parts in GE IT systems
* Drive the recovery of the delinquent parts to support both internal (GE assembly lines and MRO shops) and external (Airframers and airlines) customers
* Monitor WIP status of critical parts
* Track critical shipments to US and expedite delivery with logistics team, as necessary
* Facilitate a priority call of critical parts across multiple engine programs at shared bottleneck processes and allocation between assembly and spares
* Expedite disposition of case record (quality ticket) of non-conformances of RSP parts
* Resolve receiving issues (problem lot) of parts delivered to receiving dock of GE warehouse
* Problem Solve to support CTB (Clear to Build) and CTL (Clear to Launch) weekly requirements
* Monitor RSP parts coverage
* Check engine coverage / on hand qty
* Monitor Receipt / Stock / Inventory Adjustments at GE warehouse in US
* Monitor material Inventory transactions at GE warehouse
* Resolve inventory discrepancies with Warehouse inventory team in US
* Serial Number tracking of RRSP parts (delivery/assembly)
* Communicate with Program Management, Global Fulfillment team, RSP Planning team, Assembly Shop, Quality, Sourcing in US to support fulfillment of RSP parts
* Summarize and report the latest status of critical parts to US
* Chair a regular conference call
* Publish a weekly scorecard with the BDI and Northstar performance
* Facilitate / Ensure SIOP (Sales Inventory & Operation, Planning) process to properly implement revised engine build plans to supported RSP
* Support Annual Inventory Reconciliation of RSP parts (once a year)
* Foster the partnership between GE and supported RSPs:
* Foster trustful and collaborative relationship between the teams, driving operating rhythm with key stakeholders at all levels of both organizations
* Foster proactive issue solving versus reactive, suggest digital reporting tools improvements / build mock-up if needed, lead Problem Solving activities to improve delivery metrics as required (e.g.: Work stops, Customer Service Level, or sellable Delinquency)
* This role does not involve price/contact negation and commercial transaction.
* Travel up to 10% required
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in operations, planning, sourcing, inventory management or related experience)
* Minimum 5 years of experience in operations, planning, sourcing, inventory management or related experience
