The Commodity Manager is responsible for independently managing assigned commodity categories to ensure supplier performance, cost optimisation, and supply continuity. This role applies in‑depth procurement and market knowledge to develop and execute sourcing strategies, solve complex cost and supply challenges, and support business objectives through cross‑functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities- Independently manage assigned commodities, including supplier performance, cost, and risk management.
- Develop and execute sourcing and supplier strategies aligned with operational and business objectives.
- Identify and deliver cost‑saving initiatives while monitoring market trends and key cost drivers.
- Lead and support supplier negotiations and contractual agreements.
- Act as a procurement resource for cross‑functional partners and less‑experienced colleagues.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
- 4‑8 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, supply chain, or related operations roles.
- Demonstrated experience managing suppliers and supporting sourcing or cost‑reduction initiatives.
- Experience leading or supporting supplier negotiations and commercial agreements.
- Proficiency using data, KPIs, Excel, and ERP systems to support decision‑making.
- Ability to travel up to 10–20%, including occasional overnight domestic travel; international travel as needed.
- Experience sourcing medical device components or assemblies.
- Experience applying Lean principles or structured problem‑solving tools in a manufacturing environment.

Salary and BonusThe annual salary range for this role is $90,000 - $105,000. This role is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
