International Purchasing Specialist
Location: Cincinnati, OH
Pay: $60,000 - $80,000 annually
Responsibilities- Monitor open purchase orders, supplier commitments, and shipment status to identify delivery risks and material shortages.
- Investigate overdue or stalled orders and work directly with suppliers to obtain status updates, revised ship dates, and recovery plans.
- Drive suppliers to meet committed delivery dates and escape significant or recurring performance issues.
- Track critical inbound shipments and coordinate recovery efforts for missing, delayed, misrouted, or expedited shipments.
- Work with carriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, warehouses, and shipping teams to resolve transportation issues.
- Partner with Purchasing, Planning, Operations, Warehousing, and Quality to prioritize critical materials and resolve supply disruptions.
- Maintain accurate purchase order, supplier, and delivery information within the ERP system.
- Identify recurring supply chain issues and support process improvements that reduce late deliveries, expedite costs, and operational disruptions.
- 5+ years of experience in supplier expediting, international purchasing, supply chain, materials management, or a related manufacturing environment.
- Experience managing international supplier delivery performance and resolving complex supply issues.
- Experience working with suppliers, carriers, freight providers, or logistics partners in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with complex, low-volume/high-mix products; aerospace or other engineered manufacturing experience preferred.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
- Knowledge of supply chain risk management, material planning, and purchase order tracking.
- Experience with international shipments, customs processes, freight forwarding, and shipment documentation.
- Familiarity with ERP systems;
Epicor experience preferred. - Experience expediting machined components, fabricated assemblies, electromechanical components, tooling, or other complex manufactured products.
- Associate degree or higher in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, or a related field preferred; APICS/ASCM certification is a plus.
