Job Description

The Maintenance Technician responsibilities will include:

  • Timely completion of work orders and special projects
  • Servicing residents in a friendly, customer service‑oriented manner
  • Diagnose problems and repairs
  • Respond to all service requests and on‑call emergencies as directed by the Property Manager and Service Manager, completing them in a timely and professional manner
  • Assist in maintaining the exterior of the property daily to provide clean and acceptable curb appeal at all times, including snow removal during the winter months when needed
  • Monitor and document maintenance tasks, including appliance replacement, repairs, and preventive maintenance
  • Maintain inventory, ensure shop cleanliness, and comply with safety and OSHA standards
  • Ensure adherence to fair housing policies, company procedures, and maintain confidentiality
  • Maintain required site‑level logs and support software provisioning within defined access parameters
Qualifications
  • High School diploma and related vocational training and/or equivalent work experience
  • HVAC knowledge and EPA certification, Type I & II or better, including 410A Certification
  • Availability for a flexible work schedule, including weekends and on‑call responsibilities
  • Ability to provide direction and instruction to subordinates, and to communicate effectively and efficiently with residents, supervisors, vendors, and others
  • Previous plumbing, electrical, mechanical, drywall repairs, carpentry, and pool/spa maintenance experience
  • Previous hotel, commercial, and/or apartment maintenance experience preferred
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred
  • Comfortable with the use of software, mobile devices, and computer‑related hardware
