- Previous housekeeping experience required.
- Able to read, write, and understand the English language and speak the language in an understandable manner.
- Be a minimum of 18 years of age.
- Able to follow written and oral instructions concerning the mixture of cleaning compounds, liquids, cleaning instructions, etc.
- Able to push, pull, lift 50 lbs. regularly and occasionally push up to 150 lbs. and move equipment, supplies, etc., throughout the work day.
- Possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing housekeeping practices.
- Must be fully vaccinated for COVID‑19.
- Perform day‑to‑day housekeeping functions such as cleaning, polishing, sanitizing, sweeping, vacuuming, etc., ensuring that established infection control practices and safety precautions are followed at all times.
- Coordinate housekeeping services with nursing services whenever routine assignments occur in resident living areas or common areas and whenever emergency needs arise.
- Perform terminal cleaning procedures when a resident is discharged and/or transferred to another room or area.
- Report all accidents, incidents, hazardous conditions or equipment to the Supervisor and keep work/assignment areas free of hazardous objects.
- Store equipment, tools, supplies, etc., properly and keep areas clean during breaks, meal times and at end of the day.
- Exhibit behavior in accordance with ERS’s core values.
- Maintain confidentiality of all staff information in accordance with HIPPA guidelines.
