Responsibilities
On-site duties include cleaning up behind different subcontractors to prepare the area for the next subcontractor. For example, once the flooring contractors complete their work, cleanup workers prepare the property for painters, cabinetry workers, or whichever subcontractor is coming in next. Cleaning up on site includes properly disposing of any debris and trash. The cleanup worker may do a walk-through with the contractor to understand expectations and receive any special cleanup instructions.
The cleanup worker's supervisor, or the worker if he is an independent contractor, often follows up with the contractor to confirm that the cleanup job met expectations.
- Must be able to pass a drug test.
