This position is under the direction of the Facilities Manager and includes delegated supervision of the Maintenance Lead. The role maintains all ESRW facilities and grounds—including security, building maintenance, groundskeeping, and custodial services—ensuring a safe, clean, comfortable, and well‑functioning environment for employees, clients, and visitors across Northern Kentucky and Southwest Ohio.
Responsibilities- Provide maintenance services in compliance with agency policies, licensing, accrediting standards, regulations, OSHA, and relevant laws.
- Complete facility repairs in compliance with fire, electrical, plumbing, and building codes.
- Conduct inspections, document results, and report non‑compliance to the Facilities Manager.
- Use safe lifting techniques and proper equipment for moving heavy items.
- Demonstrate courteous behavior to staff and vendors.
- Collaborate with volunteers and volunteer groups as directed.
- Monitor fire protection systems, respond to malfunctions, and notify the Facilities Manager.
- Monitor HVAC systems, set heat, ventilation, and air conditioning to meet needs.
- Maintain lighting through cleaning, ballasts, bulbs, and covers.
- Respond to plumbing emergencies (clogs, leaks, hot‑water issues) and perform routine maintenance.
- Respond to electrical malfunctions, add outlets, switches, fixtures, and new breakers.
- Assess HVAC malfunctions, consult with Facilities Manager before repairs or service.
- Follow approved work order system for all tasks.
- Respond to other facility emergencies and safety concerns.
- Coordinate waste management and pesticide services.
- Perform ice/snow removal and coordinate with snow removal service.
- Maintain equipment and supplies.
- Maintain relationships with external contractors.
- Ensure a clean and safe environment.
- Maintain grounds and landscaping elements.
- Implement security measures as directed.
- Handle emergency situations or urgent facility issues.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Formal training in facility maintenance, repair, or closely related field.
- At least two years of experience in facility maintenance, recognizing and addressing electrical, plumbing, and mechanical malfunctions.
