The Director of the Center for Research & Data leads the Chamber’s efforts to deliver trusted, actionable insights that inform business and civic decision-making in the Cincinnati region. This role is responsible for producing high-quality research and analysis, engaging members and community partners with data-driven storytelling, and advancing a shared regional agenda through measurement and goal setting.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on and experienced data analyst, a strategic thinker, and a strong communicator, with background in research design and production. They are motivated by impact, comfortable managing multiple complex projects, and adept at building relationships across business, civic, and government sectors.
The Director of the Center for Research & Data reports directly to the Vice President of Civic Strategy & Policy. The Director works closely with the VP to align the Center’s research agenda with the Chamber’s broader civic strategy, policy priorities, and regional initiatives. This collaboration ensures the Center’s work informs decision-making, advances community goals, and strengthens the Chamber’s leadership role in economic and civic growth.
Responsibilities- Research Analysis:
Plan, manage, and conduct approximately 5-10 research reports annually for the Chamber and external clients. - Oversee the maintenance and enhancement of the Regional Indicators Dashboard to provide timely, accessible data to members and the public.
- Ensure research meets high standards of accuracy, clarity, and relevance for business and public sector audiences.
- Translate complex data into compelling presentations, briefings, and publications for diverse audiences.
- Serve as a spokesperson and thought leader for the Chamber on regional data trends.
- Support the production of annual events that showcase the Center’s work and connect leaders around key findings.
- Cultivate sponsor ships, consulting opportunities, and Investor Circle relationships to sustain and grow the Center’s work.
- Collaborate with Chamber teams to align research with organizational goals and member priorities.
- Manage client engagements, ensuring high-quality deliverables that meet partner needs.
- In partnership with the Vice President, support internal budget management.
- Collaborate with the Vice President to set and drive the vision, strategy, and growth of the Center for Research & Data in support of overall Chamber goals.
- Lead a portfolio of core projects, including the State of the Region, Regional Indicators Dashboard, and other flagship research initiatives.
- Work in partnership with key stakeholders and civic groups to align around measurable community goals for the region.
