Overview
Our client, a large-scale national grocer and retailer, is seeking a Project Manager to support store operations and eCommerce initiatives within their fulfillment and retail operations organization. This individual will play a key role in ensuring new and existing store locations are set up for operational success by coordinating projects, supporting store teams, and driving execution across multiple initiatives.
This is a highly visible, fast-paced role that requires strong communication, organization, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
What You’ll Do- Manage projects from planning through execution, ensuring deliverables are completed on time and aligned with business goals
- Coordinate timelines, milestones, and project plans across cross-functional stakeholders
- Provide clear and consistent status updates, reporting progress, risks, and blockers
- Support store teams during new store launches and operational initiatives
- Conduct site visits to recently opened or launching stores to ensure successful implementation of processes, staffing readiness, and operational execution
- Partner with store associates to test and evaluate new equipment, tools, and eCommerce initiatives
- Develop documentation including project plans, reports, training materials, and meeting notes
- Lead or support training sessions and “train-the-trainer” initiatives for new processes and best practices
- Identify risks and proactively drive solutions to keep projects on track
- Balance multiple priorities in a fast-moving, evolving environment
Skills & Qualifications
- 4+ years of Project Management or related experience
- Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and execute with urgency
- Excellent communication skills, comfortable working with store teams, leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders
- Experience providing presentations and progress updates to stakeholders
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, operational environment
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Comfortable working onsite and traveling locally to stores (~25%)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power Point
- Fully onsite in downtown Cincinnati
- Collaborative team environment within eCommerce and store operations (20-person team, working closely with store-facing operational group)
- Mix of office-based coordination and in-store execution support
- Flexibility required for occasional early mornings, evenings, or weekends based on project needs (overtime eligible)
