With a mature and successful direct hire platform already in place, the firm is now expanding into interim and contract staffing as a strategic extension of its Accounting and Finance practice. This role represents a rare opportunity to build a new business line with full leadership visibility and backing.
Position SummaryThe Director of Contract Recruitment will be responsible for launching and leading the firm’s Accounting and Finance contract staffing operation in the Midwest. This is a foundational leadership role for someone who understands the nuances of A and F contract staffing and enjoys building something from the ground up.
The role begins with a strong emphasis on client development and personal production. Delivery support exists internally, allowing the Director to focus on business generation, client penetration, and solution selling. As the practice scales, this leader will hire and manage a team while shaping the long-term vision for the contract division.
Responsibilities- Launch and grow the Accounting and Finance contract staffing offering
- Define service scope, target client segments, and go to market approach
- Establish a scalable framework for long term growth
- Personally win interim and contract mandates across Accounting, Finance, FP and A, and operational finance roles
- Act as the primary client facing leader for the contract practice
- Ensure strong collaboration between sales and delivery to drive fulfillment and retention
- Hire, develop, and lead future sales and recruiting team members
- Set performance expectations, KPIs, and productivity standards
- Partner with executive leadership to align the contract practice with firm wide growth objectives
- 7+ years of experience in Accounting and Finance contract staffing
- Demonstrated success building and scaling a contract book of business
- Strong client development and relationship management capabilities
- Comfortable starting as a hands on producer before moving into a people leadership role
- Strategic thinker with a commercial mindset
- Based in Cincinnati or willing to relocate
