GENERAL FUNCTION

Position is responsible for leading the development and design of processes and procedures for new projects and initiatives to ensure processes incorporate necessary components to ensure efficiencies, loss mitigation, compliance and adherence to all rules and regulation while consistently ensuring positive customer experience. Position will be responsible for developing new processes through collaboration with other areas as well as other departments within the Bank to ensure efficient execution of these processes without creating undue risk.

Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues, and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank’s risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop the operational approach and process design to be executed in the Retail Line of Business and ensure consistency with the overall vision and strategy of executive sponsors.

  • Drives collaborative partnerships with Enterprise Risk, Audit, Legal, Business Controls and Compliance to ensure they have specific input into process design to ensure appropriate risk is evaluated and mitigated through this process.

  • Ensures processes are designed to maximize efficiencies and the customer experience while optimizing equipment and technology.

  • Initiates, compiles, and assembles all operational project resources and materials for key stakeholders based on agreed upon reporting lines and methods.

  • Evaluates project risk, changes and issues, including development of contingency plans and solution and process alternatives.

  • Holds business partners accountable to specific responsibilities and timelines to ensure project implementation is achieved within the appropriate timeline, and with the necessary due diligence.

  • Assesses issues/challenges/disconnects between projects and initiatives and resolves project conflict.

  • Evaluate process design for potential risk and customer experience issues, and escalate for resolution as appropriate.

MINIMUM

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
  • College degree or equivalent experience that will provide for the presentation of strong business acumen.

  • Five years of banking management experience.

  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal communication skills are required (oral and written).

  • Position requires the ability to establish self as a leader, to not only perform in a leadership role, but to also be recognized by other divisions and business partners as a leader.

  • Project management experience is a plus.
