Position: Director of Accounts Receivable / Collections
Description

We are seeking an experienced Director of Accounts Receivable to lead our AR and Collections operations. This leader will oversee all billing, collections, and cash application functions while driving process improvements, operational efficiency, and strong financial controls. The role plays a key part in sustaining healthy cash flow, maintaining client relationships, and managing a high-performing team.

Leadership & Team Management

+ Direct, coach, and mentor a team of AR and collections specialists.

+ Set clear performance expectations and drive accountability.

Accounts Receivable Oversight

+ Oversee all collection efforts and ensure timely follow-up on outstanding invoices.

+ Coordinate routine reviews of AR aging with senior management.

+ Maintain accurate AR records and ensure data integrity.

Strategic & Operational Responsibilities

+ Develop department initiatives that support organizational goals.

+ Implement and refine credit and collection policies and procedures.

+ Provide comprehensive reporting and insights to Executive Leadership.

+ Participate in weekly cash flow forecasting and contribute to financial planning.

+ Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to support successful payment resolution.

Requirements

10+ years of leadership experience in credit, collections, or AR management.

Strong organizational abilities with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Ability to foster a team-first culture and develop talent.

Advanced understanding of accounting concepts, credit management, and collection methodologies.

Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and drive results.

Excellent communication skills with a customer service-focused approach.

Experience working in a professional services environment is a plus.
