The Program Manager is responsible for program and project management of New Product Development and Product Lifecycle initiatives, including planning, execution, reporting, and resource utilization. This role assumes ownership of programs from inception through completion and plays a critical role in delivering innovative solutions that improve patient outcomes. The position reports to the Director, Program Management and is part of the Engineering and R&D / Project Management Office (PMO) located in Cincinnati, Ohio and will be an on‑site role.
InThis Role, You Will Have The Opportunity To
- Lead cross‑functional project teams from concept through launch, planning and executing highly technical projects across varying size and complexity.
- Manage multiple projects concurrently by developing detailed schedules, tracking budgets, and maintaining accurate forecasts.
- Communicate project status, risks, and progress clearly to senior leaders while proactively escalating needs to ensure delivery.
- Facilitate cross‑functional alignment across all project swim lanes to drive execution and resolve dependencies.
- Influence teams across functions by applying Danaher best practices, raising resource and capacity concerns, driving continuous improvement, and mentoring other Project Managers.
- Bachelor’s Degree (BS) required; preferably in an Engineering discipline (Mechanical, Biomedical, Electrical, or similar)
- Prefer minimum of 8 years of related work experience, including at least 4 years of project or program management experience
- Experience working in a regulated industry (medical device, pharmaceutical, or similar)
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage complex, technical projects
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives concurrently
- Ability to travel up to 15%, including occasional international travel, to support program execution, stakeholder engagement, and cross‑functional collaboration
- Must be able to work effectively in a standard office environment; reasonable accommodation will be provided as required.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and operate standard office equipment (computer, phone, etc.)
- Knowledge of design controls and product development within a Quality Management System (QMS) compliant with ISO 13485 or 21 CFR 820
- Experience with Lean management principles, project management tools, or project management certification (e.g., PMP)
We offer comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees. The annual salary range for this role is $140,000 to $165,000. This role is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
