Overview
Director of Membership and Transformation (Project Management)
FLSA Status:
Salary Exempt
Salary Range: $40,668-$45,752 annually
About the position:
Join our M.E. Lyons YMCA team, and focus on transforming lives and championing engagement efforts as you lead the membership department. You will accomplish this by helping others achieve goals, make new friends & connect with our Y community. You will also provide resources, remove barriers & act as an advocate for initiating change.
- Ensures all staff model equity, inclusion, cultural competence and global awareness in all areas of their work.
- Responsible to oversee all aspects of membership including, but not limited to, grow membership, monitor account updates, implement write-offs/cancellations, membership communication, etc.
- Adhere to established association standards.
- Intentionally foster a cause-centered culture that is welcoming, genuine, hopeful, nurturing & determined, in order to foster loyalty among those we serve, and meet community needs.
- Responsible for developing & managing day-to-day branch operations in order to provide efficient and adequate service to members and participants at the highest level.
- Recruit & hire diverse staff and volunteer teams. Onboard, develop, schedule & coach staff for development and maximum impact. Maintain regular clear & concise communication, and handle staff issues promptly.
- Supervise Kids Club staff and Welcome Desk staff including staffing, hiring, and onboarding new employees
- Along with the Community Executive Director and other branch leaders organize and oversee special events
- Engage & partner with the community in innovative & inspiring ways to involve new individuals in the Y community by supporting them in achieving their goals.
- Develop & implement cause-driven events for the community & members.
- May require work on certain nights and weekends as needed
- Utilize various social media tools for promoting the benefits of the YMCA.
- Bachelors degree in related field, with sales experience preferred.
- Proven track record of meeting/surpassing challenging goals.
- A proven agent of collaborative systems change.
- Experience in personnel supervision, recruitment, training, and development of staff and volunteers.
- Excellent contemporary presentation, written & visual communication skills.
Must be able to operate music and studio equipment. Regularly required to remain in a stationary position for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and transport materials as needed.
