Vaco is recruiting for an AR Manager for a large manufacturing company in Cincinnati, OH. The salary range for this role is $90K-$95K. Must have management and manufacturing experience.

Accounts Receivable Manager

Position Summary: The Accounts Receivable Manager is responsible for leading the AR function, ensuring accurate and timely billing, cash application, and customer account management. This role partners closely with cross‑functional teams to support operational excellence, resolve billing issues, and continuously improve AR processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership & Development
    • Lead, supervise, and mentor the Accounts Receivable team, providing ongoing training, performance feedback, and professional development.
    • Establish clear expectations, monitor performance metrics, and promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Billing & Cash Application Oversight
    • Oversee the accurate and timely preparation, distribution, and customer system upload of invoices.
    • Ensure prompt and accurate application of customer payments, maintaining integrity of AR records and aging.
    • Monitor billing accuracy and compliance with contractual terms and company policies.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration
    • Partner daily with Customer Service, Project Management, and other internal stakeholders to ensure billing accuracy, proper credit issuance, and timely order updates.
    • Serve as a key liaison between AR and internal teams to resolve discrepancies and streamline communication.
  • Credit & Collections Support
    • Collaborate with the Credit and Collections team to provide insight and support related to billing disputes, discrepancies, and collection matters.
    • Assist in identifying root causes of disputes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Process Improvement & Reporting
    • Evaluate and enhance AR processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and customer experience.
    • Analyze AR data and trends to identify opportunities for improvement and risk mitigation.
    • Present findings, recommendations, and performance metrics to management.
