  • Relationships — Building authentic, lasting human connections
  • Belonging — Creating a space where everyone feels welcome and valued

We are welcoming, genuine, hopeful, nurturing, and determined — and we look for the same qualities in our leaders.

What You’ll Do Strategic Leadership
  • Lead association-wide membership innovation and scalable models that expand community reach and deepen engagement.
  • Set organizational vision, strategy, and priorities for multi-site Membership and Wellness — ensuring NPS scores and member experience consistently exceed expectations.
  • Champion place-based and system-level strategies, aligning partnerships and community insights to drive relevance, expansion, and mission delivery.
  • Serve as a prominent external ambassador — locally and nationally — advancing strategic partnerships, membership innovation, and the YMCA’s community influence.
Operations & Excellence
  • Ensure organization-wide operational excellence: safety, compliance, and consistent delivery of high-quality experiences across all facilities.
  • Establish data-driven and AI-informed performance frameworks to evaluate outcomes, identify trends, inform strategy, and ensure long-term sustainability.
  • Lead the integration of AI and emerging technologies to enhance member engagement while prioritizing ethical use and human-centered workforce development.
  • Provide supervision and inspirational leadership to Association Membership and Wellness leaders through coaching, mentorship, and clear direction.
  • Build and develop a team of Community Executive Directors, supporting board development, fundraising, community development, and volunteerism.
  • Cultivate an inclusive, people-centered culture that advances Achievement, Relationships, and Belonging at every level of the organization.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred, with 10+ years of senior leadership experience in multi-site operations.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive membership leadership with a proven record of driving measurable growth in acquisition and retention. Equivalent experience in Wellness considered.
  • Proven ability to lead large-scale change and drive measurable organizational impact.
  • Deep fluency in AI, CRM platforms, and data analytics — with the ability to translate membership trends into actionable strategy and results.
  • Strong financial and business acumen, including budget oversight, resource development, and partnership building.
  • Proven success developing leaders and advancing inclusive, human-centered leadership across diverse teams and communities.
