We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Senior HSE Alliance Manager to support a national life sciences client with large projects in multiple locations across the US in Life Sciences North America (LSNA)’s project portfolio.
In this role you will support the HSE Director for LSNA, regional HSE Managers and act as a business partner with Client HSE, senior stakeholders, Jacobs HSE Managers, Project Managers and Construction Managers. Your goal is to lead HSE excellence and deliver projects and initiatives that ensure no worker injuries or negative impacts to our client’s business continuity. You’ll support Beyond Zero performance and provide overall leadership, management and direction to the Jacobs team and clients assigned.
Key responsibilities include protecting people from harm, driving Jacobs’ strategies and performance, facilitating continuous improvement, and building alliances with client leadership. You’ll own and maintain communication with the HSE Director for LSNA, HSE Regional Managers, client leadership and peer LOB HSE team members. You’ll provide technical resources, guidance, and support to ensure alignment and consistent implementation of HSE process tools that support LOB strategic plans and objectives.
Activities include: providing visible support and leadership, interpretation, training, technical review and support, regulatory guidance and governance oversight. You will champion best practices and continuous improvement efforts for employee motivation, development and resource planning that meet or exceed overall HSE business goals and objectives. You will serve as a primary subject matter expert on all HSE topics, support incident notification, investigation and reporting, facilitate injury management and return‑to‑work processes, develop Jacobs project‑specific HSE plans, review subcontractor hazard assessments, and participate in operational readiness reviews, monthly assessments, management system reviews, and other forums relevant to project success.
Travel will be up to 75% of the time and may include additional travel within the US and potentially North America.
Qualifications- A professional HSE Certification and/or degree in construction safety, industrial hygiene, engineering or a related field; or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 15 years of senior leadership experience managing Construction Health and Safety with a staff of 5 or more direct reports.
- Experience with managing and conducting safety training.
- OSHA 30‑hour construction training.
- Experience delivering safety training, toolbox talks, and outreach and coaching.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Teams, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated interpersonal and personnel‑management skills.
- Working knowledge of regulatory compliance and all federal, state, and local agency requirements.
- BCSP certification (CSP).
- Industry leadership training experience.
