Job Description

The Project Specialist II will be responsible for overseeing projects from inception through completion, ensuring they are completed efficiently and within scope. Assist with various tasks related to the project such as preparing and updating project documents; communicating and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders; tracking and reporting on the project progress. Provides administrative and logistical support.

Essential Functions
  • Manage milestone performance indicators (MPIs) for engines and transmissions lines of business (report monthly and update as required).
  • Track and manage deliveries of engines spare parts deliveries. Develop metrics to track percent on time deliveries, overdue, and projected sales.
  • Develop, maintain and consult with PMs/PEs and engineers on project schedules. Ensures schedules align with project MPIs.
  • Administer RMA/Warranty program for the engine and transmission Lines of Business. Develop and report on key metrics including cost of warranty and aging of warranty/RMA cases.
  • Act as primary point of contact for engine and transmission lines of business for warranty and RMA actions.
  • Develop reports for Program Reviews regarding RMA/warranty status and spares status.
  • Manage Program Management procedures and instructions. Coordinate development and maintenance of procedures under the guidance of the GM or PM Lead for the Lines of Business.
  • Take lead and coordinate with IT on portals for the PM/PE function within the lines of business.
Position Requirements Qualifications
  • Associates Degree in Business Management or related field with 6+ years Project Management experience or equivalent.
  • Bachelors Degree in Business Management or related field with 2+ years Project Management experience or equivalent.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong‑decision making skills.
Preferred Additional Skills
  • Microsoft 365 particularly Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint, SharePoint and One Note
  • Data mining and reporting from ERP systems
  • Power BI User, Developer Preferred
  • Detail oriented, confident in analyzing large sets of data finding key themes and trends
  • Strong written and oral skills
  • Team player, comfortable accomplishing results in a matrixed cross functional environment
