The Spirit of the PositionThe Supervisor ensures staff compliance with conduct rules, policies, and procedures while supervising, mentoring, and training them on daily tasks. Responsibilities also include promoting customer satisfaction, assisting customers, generating various reports, resolving service issues, and performing administrative tasks such as scheduling and processing payments.
What does a day in the life of a LAZ Supervisor look like?- Lead, direct, and develop team of employees at parking location(s).
- Manage, plan, schedule, train and direct the activities of on‑site employees.
- Assist with periodic training as needed.
- Assist with creation of weekly team schedule.
- Resolve customer service issues or questions as needed.
- Assist in establishing performance standards, recommending, and implementing changes to procedures when necessary.
- Promote good customer relations by consistently providing premier customer satisfaction with a friendly demeanor, a can‑do attitude, and willingness to help at all times.
- Additional related duties as assigned.
- 1+ years supervisory experience.
- Knowledge of Excel, Word, Power Point and general Microsoft Office applications.
- Parking management experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to be flexible in schedule to meet operational needs; this may require occasionally working outside of regularly scheduled hours.
- Dynamic. Charismatic, full of energy, and happy to help in any way you can.
- Dependable. Responsible is your middle name. You never disappoint because it's not in your nature.
- Good under pressure. You don't fold and get overwhelmed easily.
- Proficient in basic math.
- Communicate professionally and effectively.
- A team player. Open to different opinions and can help motivate your team.
- Capable of working in an unsupervised setting.
- Willingness to work in the elements—heat, wind, snow, rain, etc.
- Ability to lift, push and pull at least 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk and run for extended periods of time.
- Ability to bend, stoop, squat and lift frequently throughout a shift.
