Overview

At Newcomer, being a location manager is more than managing a funeral home, it’s about being a trusted presence in the community you serve. We’re looking for an experienced Funeral Director and Embalmer to lead our West Side Cincinnati Chapel, a location with deep community roots and long‑standing relationships.

In this role, you’ll guide day‑to‑day operations, support and develop your team, and work directly with families during some of the most important moments of their lives. You’ll have the opportunity to put your leadership experience to work while honoring the traditions of the chapel and continuing to build trust within the community.

Why This Location

The West Side of Cincinnati is known for strong neighborhoods, lasting relationships, and a sense of pride in taking care of one another. Families here value familiarity, honesty, and consistency. If you enjoy being visible in your community, building relationships over time, and leading a location that truly matters to the people it serves, this role offers that opportunity.

What We’re Looking For
  • Ohio‑licensed Funeral Director (or ability to reciprocate)
  • Leadership experience in funeral service operations
  • Someone who values teamwork, accountability, and community trust
Licensure Requirement

(Ohio) Ohio licensure requires completion of an accredited mortuary science program, successful passage of both sections of the National Board Exam, and compliance with state licensing regulations. Ohio allows licensure reciprocity for licensed funeral directors with qualifying experience from another state.
