What You'll Do- Ensure branch operations run in line with policy, legal, and regulatory requirements, in step with other departments
- Build deep knowledge of credit union products and services, and cross-sell to meet member needs
- Oversee branch security, respond to alarms, and support opening/closing procedures
- Make sure the branch balances all transactions at the end of each day
- Help implement policy and procedure changes at the branch level
- Handle loan processing and closings, certificates of deposit, IRAs, HSAs, and new accounts
- Provide direction and supervision to branch staff, and step in as Branch Manager when needed
- Onboard and train new employees, and cross-train staff across roles
- Help set staffing levels and build schedules
- Resolve member requests and questions promptly, or route them appropriately
- Keep management informed of branch activity and flag ideas for better service
- Complete required reports accurately and on time
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework a plus
- 2 to 5 years of related financial institution experience
- Solid understanding of teller, member service, and loan officer functions
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Organized, proactive, and comfortable with computer applications and everyday office equipment
