Location: Mason, Ohio
Pay Range: $70-80k (based on experience)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 1st Shift (Flexible)
Hours: 40hrs/wk. (ability to work overtime, when needed)

Role Overview: The Yard Manager is responsible for the supervision of the yard and oversees all receiving, production and shipping of building materials. The position protects the company’s investment in facilities, equipment, and inventory and performs functions in compliance with all internal controls, policies, procedures, and federal and state regulations, including OSHA, DOT, and FMCSA. The Yard Manager works under the general direction of the Operations Manager.
Day-to-DayResponsibilities
- Communicate clearly and effectively with employees, management, and customers.
- Work with the Operations Manager to ensure the department is staffed appropriately.
- Collaborate closely with the sales team on order issues and resolution.
- Schedule production.
- Ensure accuracy in delivery of materials to job sites.
- Track and monitor inventory status, supply usage, costs, and trends to maintain established inventory levels.
- Request stock inventory purchases from the Inventory Manager.
- Work directly with the Human Resources Department regarding employee relation issues (counseling, progressive discipline, promotion, demotion, termination).
- Assume the role of Safety Leader for the appointed yard, performing and assisting with compliance training of employees as needed.
- Ensure equipment, surroundings, and yard comply with company safety practices, such as ensuring necessary safety guards are on equipment.
- Show willingness to take on responsibilities, challenges, and additional duties as required.
- Minimal travel may be required.

- Ability to appropriately prioritize tasks to meet varied and conflicting organizational demands.
- Working knowledge of materials and job-site processes used within the construction industry.
- Forklift Certification required.
