NELSON is seeking an experienced PMO Leader to build upon and advance the firm’s project management framework across all practices. This role will provide strategic leadership in establishing consistent project management standards, processes, and best practices across the organization, while ensuring successful project delivery at a national scale.

The ideal candidate brings significant project management leadership experience within the AEC industry , with a proven track record of developing, leading, or strengthening a PMO or similar enterprise-wide project management function. This individual will work across NELSON’s practices to drive consistency, accountability, process improvement, and operational excellence, while partnering with senior leadership and project teams to align project delivery with broader business objectives.

Required Knowledge and

Skills:

• Leadership and Strategy:
  Develop and implement project management strategies and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the PMO.
• Project Oversight:
  Monitor and oversee all projects to ensure they are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.
• Process Improvement:
  Identify areas for improvement in project management processes and implement changes to ensure continuous improvement.
• Risk Management:
  
  Assess project risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimize potential issues.
• Team Development:
  Lead, mentor, and develop the project management team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
• Stakeholder Engagement:
  Engage with key stakeholders to ensure project alignment with business objectives.
• Reporting:
  Provide regular updates and reports to senior leadership on the status of projects, highlighting key achievements and potential challenges.
• Strong Proficiency in Deltek/Vantagepoint and Business Intelligence tools as used for business performance reporting

Education / Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related AEC discipline from an accredited university preferred.
• 15+ years of relevant AEC industry experience, including significant project management and/or PMO leadership experience, preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

National salary range: $140,000-$170,000 (actual compensation will be determined based upon several factors, including relevant experience, qualifications and licensure, education, and geographic location) Additional compensation includes bonuses and benefits. Bonuses can include but are not limited to:
Long Term Incentive Plan, Short Term Incentive Plan, Profit Sharing.
