Machine Adjuster – Multiple Positions on 1st, 2nd & 3rd shift

Pay: $18.50+ depending upon experience; 2nd shift differential or $0.25/hr; 3rd shift differential $0.35
Role Type: Fulltime
Responsibilities- Performs machine mechanical maintenance, including machine troubleshooting, repair, lubrication, changeovers, setup, adjustments to the machines, ink changes, paper changes and inserts window film, die and plate into machine.
- Troubleshoots operating difficulties including analyzing machine operations, inspection of product, making necessary mechanical adjustments and repairs to eliminate quality variations and mechanical malfunctions.
- Operates machines efficiently and obtains supplies such as paper, window film, ink and adhesive.
- Examines job orders, reads and interprets specifications and reviews sample and shipping instructions.
- Checks orders throughout production to ensure accuracy of labeling, printing and packaging.
- Inspects product quality according to quality guidelines and completes quality checks for envelope size, shape, window, gum seal, side seam and color print.
- Accurately completes paperwork to record labor, time, quality and maintenance logs.
- Packs envelopes uniformly and neatly into completed containers while keeping up with machine speeds.
- Oversees accurate count of envelopes into cartons and on skids.
- Maintains a neat and orderly work area and performs machine wash-up and other general cleaning duties.
- High School Diploma or equivalent and mechanically inclined.
- 3+ years of Machine Adjuster or Setup Operator experience or solid experience within building construction, automotive repair, and/or farm equipment repair including the use of hand tools.
- Strong mechanical and analytical skills including the ability to review machine operations, inspect products, troubleshoot mechanical issues and make adjustments and repairs to eliminate quality variations and mechanical malfunctions.
- Possess a mechanical aptitude and the ability to read a ruler and perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Enjoys hands-on work, troubleshooting mechanical problems and problem solving.
- Effective communication skills.
- Enjoys working in a team environment and the ability to work independently.
- Envelope Industry preferred but not required.
Ability to stand for the approximate duration of the scheduled shift (minus paid lunch and breaks), lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally, repetitive grasping, frequent twisting, lifting above shoulder height, and occasional bend, reach, crouch, or stoop. Sensory requirements include tactile/touch with hands and digits, near and far visual acuity, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Shift & SchedulingThe open positions are for 2nd shift (3:00pm to 11:00pm) and 3rd shift (11:00pm to 7:00am), Monday through Friday with overtime on Saturdays. There will be some initial training on our 1st shift to accustom you to our everyday operations.
