Operations Specialist – Embroidery Production

Position Summary

The Operations Specialist – Embroidery Production is responsible for overseeing and supporting daily production operations within the embroidery department to ensure productivity, quality, efficiency, and customer deadlines are consistently achieved. This role requires strong leadership, organizational, and operational experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Embroidery production experience is preferred; however, the primary focus is on operational leadership, team development, and process management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Support and oversee daily embroidery production operations to ensure workflow efficiency and on-time order completion.
  • Lead, coach, and support production team members to maintain productivity and quality expectations.
  • Assist with staffing, scheduling, labor planning, and production prioritization based on operational demands.
  • Monitor department performance metrics including productivity, quality, attendance, and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot operational and production issues to minimize downtime and maintain workflow.
  • Partner with maintenance, shipping, customer service, and quality teams to support overall operational success.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and housekeeping standards.
  • Assist in training and developing employees on production procedures and operational expectations.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, waste reduction, and process consistency.
  • Maintain accurate production records, reports, and operational documentation.
  • Provide leadership support during peak production periods and changing business demands.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of leadership or operational experience in a manufacturing or production environment required.
  • Embroidery or apparel decoration experience preferred but not required.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to lead teams in a fast‑paced production setting.
  • Experience with production scheduling, workflow management, and performance metrics.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing operational needs.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and production tracking systems preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical or operational training preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the production floor.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to work around machinery and production equipment safely.
  • Manufacturing and production facility environment.
  • Flexibility to work overtime and adjusted schedules based on production demands
