Overview
1st Shift CNC Operator — Full-Time
Pay Range: $22.00-$32.00 based on skill and experience determined in conjunction with the hiring manager
Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 6:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Overtime is available

Iron Road is seeking an experienced, results-oriented CNC Operator for the Cincinnati, Ohio client. The client’s product lines include Jordan Valve, Low Flow, Steriflow, Steriflow Food & Beverage, Marwin, Hex, and Bestobell. The CNC Operators will have experience with lathes, vertical mills or mill-turn machines, and 3, 4 or 5 axis machines. The client has Mazak, Okuma and Smart machines. This role reports to the Production Manager.
Responsibilities- Machine Operation/production (Mazak, Okuma, Smart CNC Machines)
- Load/unload parts within the qualified time
- Identify proper tooling, fixtures, and jaws for efficient setup
- Inspect cutting tools for sharpness and usability
- Observe machine operation to verify accuracy of machine settings and detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining using precision measuring instruments; adjust machine to control part process
- Post edits CNC program to fine-tune process for optimum performance with assistance from a CNC Operator/Programmer, lead person, or programmer; submit changes to programmer
- Perform first-piece in-process inspection
- Machine setup
- Engage in continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1–2 years of CNC machining experience for entry-level ($22.00-$25.00)
- 5+ years of CNC machining experience for experienced level ($28.00-$32.00)
- General PC knowledge
- Knowledge of AS400 system
- Knowledge of CNC turning/mill machines
- Capable of handling 50 lb. to 200 lb. valve bodies with assistance of hand trucks, lifts, conveyors, and hoists
- Ability to stand for long periods (up to eight or more hours)
- Ability to work weekends and overtime when scheduled
