Job Overview

The Operator Manufacturing III is responsible for setting up, operating, monitoring, troubleshooting, and performing preventive maintenance on assigned machines. The operator also inspects parts and makes adjustments or tool changes to maintain quality specifications. This position assists with setting up and operating production equipment while following established procedures and guidelines, and adjusting machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications, and in a timely fashion.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Perform necessary pre‑operation activities on multiple pieces of equipment to ensure proper startup and operation.
  • Operate multiple pieces of equipment, monitor during operation, perform setup and changeover, inspect parts, and make adjustments or tool changes to ensure quality production and minimal unplanned stops.
  • Perform scheduled quality assurance tests in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and communicate results with team members and support teams.
  • Perform housekeeping activities and sanitization on production equipment.
  • May operate palletizing machines (1–2) to maintain factory efficiency, changeover the machine to different SKU and package sizes.
  • May operate a stretch wrap machine and the computerized pallet tag machine.
  • Unload product from palletizing machines or load the product directly into trailers using a Radio Frequency (RF) Tablet.
  • Scan the product while safely stacking it in the warehouse bin locations.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑speed environment, follow standardized work and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment.
  • Technical, mechanical aptitude for initial basic troubleshooting.
  • Must be able to lift at least 25 lbs., stand on feet for prolonged periods, and climb stairs as needed.
  • Weekend work will be required, including some holidays.
  • Equipment noise is elevated requiring hearing protection.
  • Seasonal temperatures can be expected.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Knowledge acquired through 1 to up to 3 years of work experience.
