CNC Operator - Second Shift

Position: CNC Machinist – Richards Industrials

Location:

Cincinnati, OH (Richards Industrials – Cincinnati, OH 45209)

Reports to:

Production Manager

• Operate and produce CNC machining operations within scheduled time frames.
• Load and unload parts, selecting appropriate tooling, fixtures and jaws for efficient setup.
• Inspect cutting tools for sharpness and usability.
• Use precision measuring instruments (micrometer and dial caliper) to verify machine settings accuracy and detect malfunctions or out‑of‑tolerance machining.
• Adjust machine controls to maintain part process accuracy.
• Post edits to CNC programs to fine‑tune performance with assistance from CNC Operator/Programmer, lead or programmer; submit changes to programmer.
• Perform first‑piece in‑process inspection.
• Set up machines for new or existing parts.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years CNC machining experience.
• General PC knowledge; knowledge of AS400 system.
• Knowledge of CNC Turning/Mill machine operations.
• Ability to handle 50‑lb to 200‑lb valve bodies with hand trucks, lifts, conveyors or hoists.
• Ability to stand for long periods up to at least eight hours.
• Willingness to work weekends and overtime when scheduled.
